The DPMis a 7.62mm general-purpose machine gun designed in the Soviet Union and put into service in 1928. It was replaced by the Soviet Union by the RPD but remains in use as in the Middle East, North Africa and by both sides in the current Ukrainian conflict. It is the Ukrainian conflict where it is believed the idea for it’s use in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege was planned.
